Glastonbury has today revealed its full-line up that includes headliners Dua Lipa, Coldplay, SZA, and Shania Twain

The holy halls of Glastonbury will hark out again this summer with a wide and diverse array of musicians and artists gracing their many stages. However, the reaction to the announcement has been lukewarm to say the least, if not teetering on disappointment.

Comments such as “This is a really weak lineup”, “As much as I love SZA and it is a great addition but she’s not ready for a pyramid headline slot I’m sorry”and “That’s the worst Glasto lineup I’ve ever seen” stand out. However, as expected on social media there are those clapping back at the negativity saying “Glasto could have Freddie, Bowe and a Beatles reunion and the terminally online, chronically bitter assholes commenting here would still find something to whinge about.”

Although the headliners this year are weaker than usual, particularly with Coldplay and Shania Twain the full lineup is stacked with amazing artists, such as IDLES, Fontaines DC, The Last Dinner Party, Jungle, and more. However, for the price of the ticket, is that enough? Especially when all of the above mentioned bands can be found at smaller, more accessible, and price friendly festivals.

Glastonbury has built a reputation for being THE music festival of the world and a place that has eye watering lineups that fill those with out tickets with envy. Unfortunately, perhaps this year they’ve not struck gold. However, headliners have surprised us before and perhaps we’ll see the headliners put on a memorable and epic show… only time will tell.
