The Colombian president, Gustavo Petroreported this Tuesday that he has received new death threats through WhatsApp so he asked the Prosecutor’s Office investigate the authors.
“I request the Colombian Prosecutor’s Office in its function to investigate the author of the messages in WhatsApp who are calling for my death and manipulating public opinion”, wrote the head of state on his X account (formerly Twitter).

In the messages referred to by the president Petro audios are heard like that “we have to bring him down (kill him) by hook or by crook” or “they won’t let this guy finish the government, it’s because they hit him in the head That is, because they take it down from there.”according to local media.
Apparently, when the expression “this type“, reference would be made to the president Petro.
The audio of WhatsApp went viral on the social network, so the Colombian ruler asked the Prosecutor’s Office investigate the fact.
Petro has reported death threats several times. One of them from the criminal gang “The range“who supposedly intended to kill him in the Coffee Axis (center) in 2022 when he was a presidential candidate.
In this regard the Prosecutor’s Office reported that the investigation was under investigation.
