Nicky Jam becomes a doctor
The Puerto Rican singer Nicky Jam surprised his fans today, after announcing that he has a doctorate from the University of the Costa in Barranquilla, Colombia.
The artist, whose first name is Nick Rivera Caminero, revealed that the educational institution granted him an honoris cause for his work as a cultural entrepreneur.
“Thank you from the heart to the University of the Coast for granting me the Honoris Causa doctorate in creative industries and cultural entrepreneurship. An honor that I receive with humility and commitment. I receive it with much gratitude and with more desire than ever to continue creating and sharing,” he wrote in a publication on social networks.
In the images, he is observed with his Toga and Birrete, posing for the photos with his partner.
The singer, born in Lawrence, Massachusetts in the United States, of Boricua Father and Colombian mother, grew up in Cataño.
The artist returned to the stage on the island after a while, participating in the artistic residence of Bad Bunny, I do not want to leave here, as a special guest during one of the functions.
