It appeared during the recording process of Mimy’s debut album and at the beginning, the song was a tango, but Tony took it upon himself to take it to his field and ended up including a bit of waltz and tondero, rhythms where he has been able to achieve great success.

“The lyrics of the song are a true story, in ancient times,” he says. Mimy. “For example, my grandparents on both sides, originally from Japan, couldn’t choose their partners. So, the lyrics say that: she or he, it can be anyone, has beautiful memories of an impossible love because society did not accept it. They separate, but she always thought about him, then she sees him, and she would have wanted to have a relationship. That’s why I like this song, it’s very special to perform. It brings back memories. “She’s pretty.”
For his part, Tony assures that since he heard the song he knew that his mother’s voice would be ideal to interpret it. “It was something that surprised me, like the whole album. She has surprised me more and more because she is very passionate, she already took the field for the recording, and she has a very powerful voice, she connected so much with the song,” adds the two-time Latin Grammy winner.

About the song, Tony maintains that “it was written by Jorge Luis Piloto and Ender Thomas also composer. Then I called Tito Manrique, since it was going to be a waltz. Then I called on another friend Milton Sesenton, a string arranger who I have also worked with because I wanted to make it more symphonic and orchestrated. It turned out spectacular. It was recorded at ‘Criteria Studios’ where even Michael Jackson has recorded. We had the luxury of recording in such an emblematic, important place,” says Tony.

On a technical level, this impeccable video clip was filmed at the Municipal Theater of Lima, together with musicians from the Chancay Symphony Orchestra. It was directed by Tony Succar and Coco Bravo and had a special performance by his father Antonio. “I have to admit that what the lyrics of this song say happened to me a little. My parents didn’t want me to marry Antonio. But, I am very rebellious, I knew he was a good person. Now my parents are very happy,” says Mimy.
