The anti-Chavista leader Maria Corina Machado This Sunday he called on Venezuelans to, from wherever they are, ask the International Criminal Court (CPI) – which is investigating the Caribbean country for alleged crimes against humanity – to act “already“so that there is”justice”.
“Today, Sunday, December 1, we already have a first task to accomplish: we Venezuelans are going to raise our unanimous cry before the International Criminal Courtwhere we have already provided enough evidence for justice to be done”, he said in an audio that he published on the social network X.
In that sense, the former deputy requested that, in “every city in the world where there is a Venezuelan“, a message is sent “very light” to that court of Haguewith the purpose – he explained – of defending the “innocent victims” and “brave compatriots who have given everything in this fight”.
“It is time for solidarity and to be united like never before“, stated Machado, who pointed out that the “change key“every Venezuelan has it and”no one else”.
Likewise, he expressed that the situation is “outrageous” in the Caribbean country, where “the regime” -in reference to the President’s Government Nicolas Maduro– “persecutes everyone just because they speak the truth“, but, in Machado’s opinion, “no one can force“to citizens to”this humiliation”.
“My dear Venezuelans, in this time of preparation, let us reflect on all of the above, because the invincible character of our struggle lies in our determination. They will not be able to prevent us from enforcing the popular mandate that we issued on July 28”he added.
