Colombian singer Maluma was the victim of a robbery while visiting his Dos Aguas horse farm, near Medellín.
According to the artist, someone approached him and took advantage of his carelessness to steal his phone from his pocket.
“This weekend, while we were watching our filly with friends from Dos Aguas, they reached into my pocket and stole my cell phone,” said the renowned artist.
Maluma said he preferred to remain silent to avoid a scandal. “I regretted it and said: ‘what was, was.’”
However, he said that due to the theft, he has not been able to access his WhatsApp because of an iCloud security lock.
“The problem is that I couldn’t recover my iCloud because all the passwords were changed, I had to start from scratch, I don’t have a cell phone,” the singer explained.
The artist took the opportunity to address the thieves of his cell phone with a strong message and gave them advice because, according to him, the cell phone “is not going to be of any use to them” because he has already blocked it.
“If the thieves who robbed me are watching this, stop being such jerks. You can’t just steal, you scumbags, make music, get inspired, do something that makes you feel good about yourself, but steal?” he said.
Following Maluma’s announcement, several Internet users spoke out about the city’s insecurity and supported his opinion about those who stole his cell phone.
“No one is safe here,” “I remembered when they stole his earring,” “a cell phone is nothing to Maluma, but information is important,” “he’s not the only one affected when his cell phone is stolen,” “you buy 10 more and that’s it,” “what a mess,” “I hope you recover the information,” were some of the comments.
