While Summit is newer to the game than his tenured counterpart, both producers have proven themselves architects of anguished, vocal-driven festival anthems that cut to the heart. The awe-inspiring “Resonate” is no different, exploring our innate need for connection—both personal and cosmic—by melding techno futurism with raw human emotion.

With undulating bass that churns beneath teeth-rattling kick drums, the production is a masterclass in atmospheric yet hard-hitting dance music. But among the mayhem, there’s a profound intimacy in the lyrics, delivered by a typically breathtaking Julia Church. “Feel like I’ve been with you since the start,” she quavers.

It’s a tour de force from Church, who is quickly blossoming into one of the global dance music scene’s most in-demand vocalists. Soaring over Kaskade and Summit’s pulsing basslines, her vocals paint vivid imagery of celestial wonder while evoking a burning desire to share perspectives and be fully present: “I want to see it through your eyes / The moon, the stars and the sky / Slowly letting go of time.”

Following a massive road-test during Summit’s Coachella 2024 set, the new single arrives ahead of the breakout house music producer’s long-awaited debut album, Comfort In Chaos. He said the album, which is due out on July 12th, is the “most vulnerable work” of his career.
