EINAR SOLBERGleader of the Norwegian rock dissidents Leprouspublished his first solo album, «16“, at the beginning of this year. But in early 2022, she embarked on a completely different solo adventure. For a special live-streamed performance, she reinterpreted the album by Leprous «The Congregation» in full, only with piano and voice. Now, that performance will see the light of day in official audio as «The Congregation Acoustic» on February 16.
He is pleased to present the video of his special interpretation of the song «Within My Fence«.

«If there is one song in our catalog that I would bet I would never release an acoustic version of, it would be ‘Within My Fence‘. There’s nothing in that song that makes you think it would work as an acoustic version. To my great surprise, it worked, and gave the song another air and maybe also more depth…”
EINAR comments on the release of «The Congregation Acoustic«:
“I’m very excited, but also a little terrified, to release this live version of ‘The Congregation‘. It’s raw, unedited and exactly how I did it on my livestream. Usually all musicians today (myself included) are used to fixing things in post-production, but in this case we didn’t do anything! I think sometimes it’s okay to dare to show a more fragile and less “perfect” side of yourself. ‘The Congregation‘It’s probably the least suitable album we’ve ever made for an acoustic version, but I think it turned out surprisingly well!’
