How did the name La Bella Luz come about?

Óscar Custodio Chavesta, owner of La Bella Luz, said that due to lack of experience and because they did not see it from a commercial point of view and since the members were brothers, they came up with the idea of calling it ‘Familia Custodio Chavesta’, later shortening it to Facucha.

“One day, a radio station told us that the name of the orchestra was not very commercial and during a lunch with friends the name ‘La Bella Luz’ came up. Also, I had a grandmother called Luz. The name stuck, but it was a challenge to position it,” she told La República.
