After her arrival in Colombia, the singer Karol G resumed her activities with her “Con Cora” Foundation, in which she promotes female empowerment, and decided to give a happy moment to those women who are deprived of their freedom. The reggaeton singer started at the Ibagué Prison and Penitentiary Complex, but she plans to visit other prisons in her country.
On this occasion, Carolina Giraldo (the singer’s first name) offered them a small concert that made the inmates dance and sing, since surprisingly they knew all the paisa songs. And not everything was rumba, because as part of the helping hand that she offers in her non-profit foundation, Karol G donated water tanks and fans, to guarantee them a more comfortable stay in the midst of the difficult situation they are going through due to being deprived of freedom.
During the evening, songs such as “Amargura”, “Provenza” and “Catúbela” were played, which made the place resonate. Among her repertoire is “El Makinon” which was released in 2021 in order to increase security in women, as the performer defines herself. However, apparently her adrenaline made her forget a very particular detail heard in that song.
“Down from 16, from chamakita BREAKING THE LAW,” is the fragment that the singer could not help but interpret, but after realizing that she was precisely in a place that is inhabited by people who broke the law, she showed her face of surprise and all he had to do was smile.
Although it may have been a somewhat uncomfortable moment for her, her angel and charisma are stronger and “Bichota” continued with her presentation as if nothing had happened. All this in order to clear the minds of those women who are experiencing such a complicated moment in their lives. The call was a success and the singer was very well received at the center.
Given this, the director of the “Con Cora” Foundation, Valentina Bueno, indicated that they would continue with this initiative. “We are very proud to begin this ‘Con Cora Tour’ inspired by the social mission of our founder Karol G, with the purpose of sending light and hope to vulnerable communities.”
Let us remember that a few months ago the urban singer had a great deal with 21 women who were imprisoned on the Isla del Encanto, in Puerto Rico, she took them to her concert so they could enjoy her music. The singer has left an indelible mark on the music industry and in the hearts of her followers.
