Shakira is one of the most recognized Colombian artists in the world. In addition to her music, her separation from Gerard Piqué and her private life have also been the subject of international interest. Now they claim that the Barranquilla woman is almost a mother for the third time.
Amid the rumors that arose about Shakirade’s possible search for a daughter, a journalist from the international program Chisme No Like assured that the Colombian singer was pregnant with a girl several years ago, but that she suffered a loss.
“Shakira has always dreamed of being a mother and after having her two dream sons, she longed and still longs to have a girl. Unfortunately, she had a loss,” said journalist Adriana Tovar.
Tovar pointed out that out of “respect” for Shakira he would not reveal the date on which the loss of the fetus occurred, but he did give indications of what was happening in the Colombian’s life at that time. “Let’s remember that in 2019 Shakira had a spectacular performance that was in the Davis Cup, but what no one knows is that Shakira was pregnant at that moment with a girl, she was just five weeks pregnant.”
According to Tovar, the Colombian suffered toxoplasmosis, an infection caused by a parasite whose symptoms can be fever, headaches, among others. “She had a miscarriage, which was very hard for her.”
It is worth mentioning that, like many other celebrities, Shakira has resorted to “frozen embryos” in order to fulfill her desire to be a mother, but according to Adriana Tovar, Piqué was a great impediment for the singer to try again.
In the midst of their separation, Shakira and Piqué seem to have had a “secret” negotiation. In it, according to the journalist, what would happen to the frozen embryos would be established, taking into account that the Spaniard does not want to have more children.
