Marvel has unveiled a brand new trailer for their relaunch of the upcoming IRON MAN #1. Written by Pulitzer prize-winning Spencer Ackerman and drawn by Julius Ohta with colors by Alex Sinclair – this new take on Iron Man sees Tony Stark return to form angrier and edgier than ever before.
Coming out of an arc where Tony Stark had lost everything, and just after his marriage to Emma Frost has just ended, this new “Improvised Iron Man” sees Tony Tinker at a rebuild of himself – with brand new toys built and a whole lot of leveling back up to his old self again.
“Down to the armor Iron Man is wearing, Tony is in pure survival mode from jump,” Ackerman explained to ComicBook.com. “The stakes start out very high and escalate from there. A big theme of this run is going to be scale — the pursuit of it, the maintenance of it, the cost of it. We’ve seen Tony cross some very serious moral lines in the past. Now we’re going to scale them up.”
