How to watch Call of Duty Next
Call of Duty Next takes place on Wednesday, August 28. The event is not open to the public, but anyone can watch live on Twitch and YouTube. A variety of streamers will host the event on their pages, too.
Call of Duty: Next start times
The event begins at 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET that day. There is no word on how long this year’s event will run, but 2023’s showcase spanned more than four hours. Here are the start times for Call of Duty: Next on August 28:

What to expect at Call of Duty Next
Call of Duty: Next will provide a deeper look at Black Ops 6’s multiplayer mode, including more information on the new Omnimovement system. The event will also provide more information on Black Ops 6’s new maps and modes, as well as the general gameplay and systems available to players.
This event is happening in part to drum up excitement for the Black Ops 6 multiplayer betawhich begins on August 30. Call of Duty: Next will showcase some of the multiplayer maps in the beta.
Beyond multiplayer, Call of Duty: Next will include a closer look at Liberty Falls, one of the two launch maps for Zombies. Plus, the event will provide more information on Area 99, the latest map for the battle royale game Call of Duty: Warzone.
Beyond all of this, Call of Duty: Next will have updates on “Black Ops 6 integrations and more announcements,” whatever that may mean. Also on the mysterious side, Activision’s blog post you have a redacted section pertaining to “information” about… something. Luckily it won’t be much longer until we find out what this is all about.
Some think one of the reveals for Call of Duty: Next will be an announcement for early access to Black Ops 6’s campaign, or even its Zombies mode. Previous Call of Duty games have allowed players to jump into the campaign a week early if they preorderbut as of yet, no such promotion has been announced for Black Ops 6.
A recent rumor suggests that Black Ops 6’s Zombies mode could be available early for people who preorder, but this might not actually be true. GameSpot will report back with more information when it’s announced.
Watch and earn these bonuses
To encourage people to watch Call of Duty: Next, Activision is offering in-game items to everyone who watches at least 30 minutes of the show. The more you watch, the more bonuses you’ll receive. The listed rewards below will unlock when Black Ops 6 launches in October.
- 30 minutes: “Mine” Emblem
- 60 minutes: “Earning Stripes” Calling Card
- 90 minutes: “Tri Harder” Charm
- 120 minutes: “The Redactor” Weapon Blueprint
To earn these rewards, players need to create or sign into their Activision account and ensure it’s linked to their preferred platform. Then, players must link their YouTube or Twitch account to their Activision account. And that’s it–once all that’s done, fans can watch the event to earn their rewards.
