Sad news has shocked the entire genre, the Puerto Rican Alexio ‘La Bruja’, remembered for the hit “Tumba la casa”, has disappeared this November 14 at the age of 34, leaving deep sadness to his faithful followers. , friends and family.
The singer had been fighting a tough battle against breast cancer since 2017, when he was diagnosed and immediately underwent the necessary chemotherapy to counteract this condition.
In his own words, Alexio revealed on Molusco TV how he discovered he had cancer, precisely in the shower, when he was next to two women:
“I was bathing with two babies (laughs), then in that bathtub. Two little girls, may God bless you very much. One of them touches me and says ‘Daddy, what about that thing you have there?’ To which I told her that it was a type of fat or something like that,” she began by saying.
After this event, the Puerto Rican had planned to have surgery to remove fat, so after finishing some concerts in Colombia he planned to visit the operating room. However, upon arriving in PR, his music producer noticed that aforementioned lump again.
“**bron and what you have there? It’s so tall. Then, I’m sorry, and I said ‘hell yeah. I go to an oncologist, they send me to do a study and two days later she calls me telling me that she has to talk,” she highlighted.
The doctor, upon giving him the news, tried to calm the situation and explain the procedure in brief words: “First of all, I want you to know that everything is treatable… you have cancer.”
‘The Witch’ pointed out that it was a terrible shock that she experienced at that moment, and she began to cry at the revelation.
This is how his fight began since then, four years passed and after apparently having finished everything, the tragic destiny would continue to be on his heels, because in 2022, the cancer would not stop being present. “The cancer is back,” said the Puerto Rican, explaining that the disease metastasized.
Thus, by 2023, after having been hospitalized for the last few days, Alexio ‘The Witch’ left this world, fighting cancer that little by little affected even his hips, so he ended up practically invalid.
Despite this, the Puerto Rican did not give up until the last moment. You even planned to resume your career as a singer, bringing with you a new album and LP in mid-June, titled “El Origen.” But fateful destiny crossed his path.
Alexio ‘La Bruja’, is remembered for the tremendous success of “Tumba la casa”, a song that brought him fame and in 2015 he was plastered on all radio stations in Latin America, making a tremendous remix alongside Daddy Yankee, Nicky Jam, Arcangel, De la Ghetto, Zion, Farruko and Ñengo Flow.
