Slipknot’s DJ Sid Wilson he has sustained serious burns to his face and arms in what he says was from an unexpected explosion.
Luckily, the long-time Slipknot member appears to be okay as he shared a video from the hospital on his Instagram account, reassuring fans that he is in fact alright and will do what it takes to join the band on tour soon.
Wilson shared a reel on Instagram from the hospital explaining:
“Hi everybody,
I had an explosion in my face. I’m okay. I’m gonna be okay. But I did have some serious burns to my face and my arms.
You can see the phone shaking because I am shaking.
They’re doing an X-Ray to my chest right now to make sure I didn’t inhale any flames.
You can see I’m singing everywhere. Eyebrows are singing. My mouth is blistered. My arms pretty bad, both my arms.
I’m gonna be alright, and I don’t care what it takes, I’ll see you on tour.”
Despite that incident, Slipknot is still set to perform at various locations as part of their 25th Anniversary “Here Comes The Pain” tour, with special guests Knocked Loose and Sold. You can catch them at upcoming shows such as ROCKLAHOMA and the White River Amphitheater in September, among other planned tour dates.
