The Executive Vice President of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, appointed this Sunday a commission to manage the release of the country’s president, Nicolas Madurowho was captured along with his wife, Cilia Flores, by the United States in the midst of an attack on Venezuelan territory, reported the Minister of Communication, Freddy Náñez.
In a statement broadcast by the state channel Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), at the end of a council of ministers, Ñáñez assured that Rodríguez, who was summoned by the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ) to serve as interim president, created a “high-level” instance for the release of the presidential couple.

The commission, whose tasks were not immediately specified, will be headed by the head of the National Assembly (AN, Parliament) and head of the “dialogue and peace in Venezuela”Jorge Rodríguez.
