In March 2022, Daddy Yankee announced his decision to retire from music and had planned to perform his last three concerts in Puerto Rico in January, but they were postponed. And, as we have said, the Puerto Rican singer subsequently announces the farewell to his professional career with the event ‘La Meta’ and his concerts at the José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum of Puerto Rico between November 30 and December 3 of this year 2023.

To further clarify the issue, we highlight his own words: “Puerto Rico, now we are prepared to bid farewell to my musical career as it deserves. This will be my greatest achievement, being with my people and with all those who will visit my beautiful Island for my retirement.”

‘Bonita’, a balm towards others

Now this song arrives as a kind of balm for others: “I hope this song sticks to everyone who needs it and takes all the awards for improving your day. If this song achieves that in just 1 life, it achieved its goal. If you are reading this it means that God gave you one more day of LIFE! We can fall into the deepest black hole and get up to see the LIGHT on the path and sing “LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL” YOUR LIFE IS WORTH A LOT, DON’T FORGET IT!”

Therefore, the return to Daddy Yankee’s musical production makes more sense for having that supportive reading that, yes, does not seem to mean any change of position regarding his retirement and which he concluded at the time with these words: “The race It starts from the moment you start breathing. In growth you look at which route to take, the easy but short path, or the one with obstacles but with rewards. That was the path I took in my life to become an artist who represented his island with a sound that came out of the neighborhood.”
