Glastonbury 2024 has everyone chomping at the bits for their line-up announcement but who can we expect on the bill?
Glastonbury 2024 is yet to drop its line-up to the eager masses and the rumor mill is going crazy with who will headline the iconic festival. Well, we are here with our predictions ranging from legends such as Bruce Springsteen all the way through to wildcards such as Skepta.
AC DC
It had been seven years before AC DC had played a live show with long time singer Brian Johnson but late 2023 they came together to play at Power Trip. The festival boasted over 80,000 people in the Palm Springs desert and it’s safe to say the old boys still got it. There is nothing announced for 2024 in terms of a tour but Angus Young has stated in the past that if they’re asked they’ll play.
Madonna
Madonna has been heavily rumored to be playing the Sunday “legends” slot but nothing has been confirmed yet. She is however, the most likely and the most rumored to be playing.
The Killers
Hot off the heels of their Reading & Leeds performances the band were tipped to grace the Pyramid Stage once more. The band headlined back in 2007 but a lot has changed since then and the band has only grown in popularity.
Foo Fighters
Foo Fighters are an almost boring choice but guaranteed to put on an incredible show and universally enjoyed by everyone (mostly). Hopefully Dave Grohl can stick to just playing the once and not featuring with EVERY artist possible.
Bruce Springsteen
The boss would fit Glastonbury in such a brilliant way that even as a person not fussed by him would love to see him on the Pyramid Stage, it would be one for the history books. Not to mention he would bring a plethora of special guests with him.
Rihanna
Rihanna’s last full body of work was released back in 2016 and since then we’ve had any teases of new music (minus the songs for Black Pantha 2: Wakanda Forever). Rumor is that she is sitting on two albums but yet to release them. Strengthen the possibility she plays is the fact she signed a $32 million deal with Live Nation to tour in 24/25. Glastonbury is a must for when she makes her inevitable UK leg of said tour.
Tyler, The Creator
This one is a wildcard but the Grammy Award winning artist has all the credibility and talent to grace The Pyramid stage. However, some of his off screen antics of him MIGHT take him out of the running. It’s also worth mentioning that currently the artist is not planning any new music until 2025 and no tour has been announced for 2024. Another point is that he has been banned from playing in the UK in the past for ‘inciting terrorism’ under Theresa May’s Conservative government… okay Theresa calm down.
Lizzo
Another wildcard for you here but Lizzo has the clout and stage presence to totally command The Pyramid stage however, she is currently embroiled in a legal battle against her former dancers for a litany of reasons, mostly mistreatment and sexual harassment. On top of this there are no plans for new music in 2024 nor a tour, likely Lizzo will be laying low until this all blows over or is resolved in court (or out of it).
Skepta
Skepta headlining wouldn’t be a crazy notion as it wouldn’t be the first time that a grime/rapper has graced The Pyramid stage. Arguably this would be as strong a cultural moment as Stormzy‘s infamous set back in 2019. Skepta is returning in 2024 with his new album ‘Knife and Fork’, which follows his highly successful and critically acclaimed ‘Ignorance Is Bliss’. 2024 would be the perfect year for the artist to play, he’s certainly grafted enough in this industry for a shot at the headline slot.
Cher
The American ICON Cher has been heavily rumored to be taking the Glastonbury 2024 legends slot and the singer herself has expressed huge interest to play. She is arguably one of the strongest candidates to play and extremely likely to pull a huge crowd.
Harry Styles
Although Harry Styles announced a hiatus after his incredibly popular world dominating Love on Tour, it is still possible for him to make a one off return to The Pyramid Stage. We will just have to wait and see, although if not this year, It is guaranteed he will play in either 2025 or 2026.

Could Roger Waters and Dave Gilmore put aside their differences for just one more show? Probably not, but one can dream that they’d unite just one more time to provide us with the show of a lifetime.
The Black Keys
The rock ‘n’ roll duo has a long and coveted career and have released some of the best rock albums in the last 20 years. They’ve played massive stadiums, toured the globe multiple times, and cleaned up at award ceremonies. Although they have played headlined the festival back in 2014 (ten years ago now, WHAT?!) the band have continued to be one of the stand out bands of our generation. There’s new music on the horizon and an album released for 2024, so they COULD find themselves playing again this year.
Dua Lipa
Dua Lipa is another artist that is hot in the running to headline Glastonbury 2024. She last played back in 2017 as her career was kicking off. In fact, the last time she played was the one when the infamous hip swing dance was shown to the world and quickly became a meme. Since then Dua Lipa has had incredible chart success and become one of the world’s largest pop stars.
