The US Justice Department published a total of 3,965 files, with an approximate size of 3 gigabytes, divided into four new data sets.
Most are documents in PDF format, as well as a video file and several individual images, some of them integrated into multi-page files.
Authorities stressed that the sensitive nature of the case has forced each document to be reviewed and censored to protect private information and the identity of the victims.
For this reason, experts and observers warn that the full publication of the files may not provide substantial new elements about the network of relationships of Epstein, who died by suicide in prison, according to authorities, after being convicted of sexual abuse and prostitution of minors.

Trump, who was initially reluctant to support the release of the documents, ended up signing the law after seeing broad support from Congress.
The president appears mentioned on several occasions in the files related to Epstein, with whom he was a friend before claiming that he broke off relations in 2004, years before the first formal accusation against the financier.

For his part, Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche warned this Friday that it will not be possible to publish all the documents required by law at once due to their volume, and anticipated that the Department of Justice plans to release “several hundred thousand more” of files in the coming weeks.
