The only slipway in the region, Cathare Marine is one of the obligatory ports of call between Castelsarrasin and Agde, on the Canal du Midi. The shipyard sees all kinds of boats come and go. VNF is trying to regulate this anarchy. But above all, the canal is faced with a challenge: global warming, the effects of which are exacerbated by the removal of the plane trees, and which the yard’s owner, Gildas Jardin, anticipates.
