As most of the country experiences its first snow of the season, Movement Festival has brought visions of sunshine after revealing the first wave of artists for its 2025 lineup.
Each Memorial Day Weekend, techno fans from all over the world head to the genre’s birthplace for one of the nation’s most storied dance music festivals. With multiple stages hosting rare performances from hip-hop icons, local Detroit DJs and some of the biggest techno and house artists on the planet, Movement has become a destination event for seasoned veterans and newcomers alike.
Organizers have now shared the first 16 artists who will take the stage next spring. For the first time in eight years, Carl Cox will headline Movement with a “Hybrid Live” performance. Joining the techno icon is fellow headliner John Summit.
Joining them on the hallowed grounds of Hart Plaza are a number of high-profile acts making their Movement debut, including Jamie xx, Chase & Status, Sammy Virji and DJ Gigola. Rounding out the first wave of talent are Carl Craig, DJ Minx, DJ Nobu, Ela Minus, HiTech, Klangkuenstler, Marcel Dettmann, Patrick Topping Sama’ Abdulhadi and EDM.com Class of 2022 star Anfisa Letyago.
Many more artists will be announced at a later date. Movement Festival will return to Detroit May 24-26, 2025. Tickets are on sale now.
