The legendary guitarist of Pink Floyd David Gilmourwhose unmistakable solos provide a haunting backdrop to the new lyrics of Ice-Traw and electrifying, which radically updates the song. The song and video maintain the original themes of detachment and isolation, commemorating the most unlikely collaboration of 2024.

Ice-T previously stated:

“For me, ‘Comfortably Numb‘ is an introspective song: it’s me recognizing that I’m older now. I tell the younger generation that they have two options: keep the fire burning or give up. I try to make sense of what is happening, but also point out that we are in a place where we don’t have to face reality. We have flat screen TVs and popcorn, and we can sit and watch the chaos of the world like it’s a TV show. It doesn’t seem real until it shows up on your doorstep. “I’m a little numb too, we all are.”

Said David Gilmour:

«The version of BODY COUNT of ‘Comfortably Numb‘ is pretty radical, but the lyrics really hit me. It amazes me that a song I wrote almost 50 years ago has come back with this new approach. “They have made it topical again.” The first contact of Ice-T It was to ask my permission to use the song, but I thought I might offer to play it too. I like the new lyrics, it talks about the world we live in now, which is quite scary. Ice-T and BODY COUNT They recently played in London, unfortunately I couldn’t go, but if another opportunity to play with them arose, I would take it.
