Baby Rasta and Gringo nominated for Latin Billboard after almost ten years
Iconic reggaeton duo Baby Rasta and Gringo have been nominated in the “Artist of the Year, Duo or Group, Latin Rhythm” category at the prestigious 2024 Billboard Latin Music Awards.
With more than 25 years of experience, Baby Rasta and Gringo are recognized as pioneers of reggaeton. Since their beginnings in the nineties, when this genre was considered underground, until today, they have maintained a dominant presence in the music industry. Over the years, they have evolved along with reggaeton, staying relevant and adapting to new trends without losing their essence.
“We feel very honored to be nominated at such an important award show as the Billboard Latin Music Awards,” Baby Rasta shared. “It is a reflection of the constant work and passion we have put into our music for so many years. This nomination is for our fans, who have been with us from the beginning and continue to support us. We are still here thanks to them, and this nomination is also a recognition of their loyalty.”
This award ceremony, produced and broadcast by Telemundo, is the only one that recognizes the most popular artists, albums and songs in Latin music according to the weekly Billboard charts. The ceremony will take place in Miami and will be broadcast on Sunday, October 20 at 9:00 pm ET.
They had not been nominated since 2015 after the success of “Me Niegas.”
