ANCIENT SETTLERS has released the video for «Wounded Heart«, first single taken from the new album «Oblivion’s Legacy«, which will be released on May 17 through Scarlet Records.

«Wounded Heart» evokes a visceral journey through the tumultuous currents of existence, where the relentless march of time leaves shattered dreams and endless rushes in its wake. A song to remember that each scar becomes a badge of resilience amid the ashes of adversity, as the wounded heart stands firm in the face of hopelessness and isolation, enduring the toll that time takes on the soul.

The second album by the Spanish-Venezuelan band was produced, mixed and mastered by Fredrick Nordstrom in Studio Fredman; Jon Toussas (Suicidal Angels, Nightrage, WEB) was in charge of the brilliant artwork.

ANCIENT SETTLERS quickly gained a fierce reputation in the European melodic death metal scene thanks to relentless live activity, and are now eager to raise the bar with their second studio album.

Guided by the demonic voice of their leader, Argent Deathmaster the theme of melodeath with absolute confidence through storm-heavy riffs, thick grooves and catchy hooks (just as the Swedish godfathers taught us all).

«Oblivion’s Legacy» is a conceptual work that delves into the depths of human existence, exploring the legacy we leave as individuals and as a species. The lyrics contemplate the impact of our actions, the struggles we face, and the ultimate destiny that awaits us all.

Set against a backdrop of cosmic wonder and existential introspection, each song is a chapter in the narrative of humanity’s journey through time and space.
