Wolf Hoffmann about “The Reckoning«:

«We are delighted to launch ‘The Reckoning‘ as our second single. It’s one of our favorites from the new album: hard, solid metal with lyrics about a poignant theme of life. We hope the fans enjoy it as much as we do.

Once again finalized by the leading metal producer Andy Sneap (Judas Priest, Amon Amarth, Testament, saxonetc.) in their Backstage Recording Studios Ltd. in Derbyshire, UK, the new album by ACCEPT«Humanoid“, is a towering musical achievement and another world-class entry in the catalog of ACCEPT, sure to bring together fans from all over the world. Humanoid will be available in various formats worldwide, some of them strictly limited.

ACCEPT has never shied away from hot topics, and this album is no exception. However, the band’s 17th studio album is not a concept album. It covers topics such as artificial intelligence and how our dependence on technology is gradually stripping us of our individuality. ACCEPT offers a warning on this new album and on the single «Humanoid«, which gives the album its title. like the singer Mark Tornillo will never be an advocate of the digital age, counterbalances the album’s title track with raw emotions, frailties, significant rites of passage we encounter along the path of life, and characteristics that make us uniquely human: feeling uncomfortable, growing old, dealing with pain, disappointment and the final stop for everyone: death.

«Humanoid» is a fiercely electrifying album, dynamic and subtly nuanced with ironic humor, as heard in the biblical references of «The Reckoning«, an ode to the concert audience, a new and exciting twist in the story of «Frankenstein” and “Straight Up Jack«, a song that surely would have been a drinking song approved by Bon Scott.

The song that opens the album, «Diving Into Sin“gives listeners goosebumps with its energetic, Middle Eastern-influenced introduction and almost aggressive, squeaky vocals from Screw which sets up the rest of the album for a most abundant feast. «Unbreakable» is about both the band and the bond between ACCEPT and their fans on a concert stage: a simple “Hey, let’s do this” rock song. «Mind Games“On the other hand, it has a vintage feel, circa”metal heart«. «No One Gets Out Alive» seems tailor-made for live shows. She says that regardless of life circumstances, rich, famous or not, death is the great equalizer. Happy and aggressive with a game of guitars, «Southside Of Hell» ends the album with a wonderful play on words, courtesy of Screw.

«Humanoid» is an album that aims for the head, the heart, the guts and… the balls! Listen to it yourself.
