A winter storm complicated this Monday Christmas mobility in several Midwestern states USAimpacted by low temperatures, strong winds and snow accumulation.
He Nebraska Department of Transportation recommended citizens not to take vehicles given that “heavy snow accumulation and strong winds are rapidly deteriorating” the conditions on the roads.

He National Metereological Service (NWS, in English) predicted in a report “heavy snowfall” and intense winds in parts of the Central Plains and of Midwest from the country.
The agency predicted large accumulations of snow throughout Christmas Day in Kansas, Nebraska and South Dakotaand important ice formations in Minnesota.
“Although the white of the Christmas It may be exciting for people at home, heavy snow and winds reduce visibility and make roads dangerous”explained the NWS, which also warned of possible power outages.
On Tuesday, the winter storm will gradually weaken but will still leave some snow in the region.

Some 1,600 flights suffered delays this Monday in USA and another 140 were canceled, according to the tracking of the Flight Aware portal.
