Jerau and Proyecto Uno light up the merengue with the release of “Cupido” and announce tour in Peru

This new musical theme by Jerau and Proyecto Uno is now available on various digital platforms.

The renowned Colombian singer-songwriter Jerau, a reference in Latin and Caribbean pop, joins forces with the iconic group Proyecto Uno to present “CUPIDO”. This new single, which is now available on digital platforms, marks a milestone in the celebration of the Cartagena native’s 20 years of artistic career.

A collaboration with ADN Tropical

“CUPIDO” is a merengue version of Jerau’s original song with Marcela A, transformed under the distinctive label of Proyecto Uno as the second official release of his album ‘Back in da House’. The song tells the story of two friends who fall in love, fusing Dominican and Colombian flavors in a fresh and danceable proposal.

“From the first time I heard the song I imagined it with a drum to the rhythm of merengue… we added that tropical touch that is very much ours,” says Nelson Zapata, leader of Proyecto Uno.

The official video of this collaboration will be available this Friday, February 13.

Jerau: Two decades of international successes

With a career that includes a nomination for the Anglo Grammy (as a guest on the album *ACTIVATE* by 123 Andrés) and multiple awards such as the Shock, Nuestra Tierra and Luna Awards, Jerau has established himself as one of the most prolific artists in the region with more than 500 songs composed.

Recently, the artist released his album Vendaval and the remake of his classic “Conquista” alongside Carlos Vives and Nacho, demonstrating the validity of his music in international markets after having toured more than 18 countries.

20th anniversary tour in Peru: April 2026

To celebrate these two decades of career in a big way, Jerau will return to Peru in April 2026. Under the production of LCM Producciones, the artist will tour various cities in the country to meet again with his audience and sing hymns such as:
