Salseros celebrate new album with the participation of international stars.
On the verge of celebrating their 37 years of experience with a nationwide tour, the members of the renowned group La Charanga Habanera are going through a great artistic moment. His most recent record production, 35 años Charangueando, has managed to position itself around the planet, reaching first place on important radio stations in Europe, the United States and Latin America.
The emblematic Cuban orchestra has a solid and faithful legion of followers throughout the country, which is reflected in the success of its performances. Dates like Sunday, February 8 at the Huaralino Internacional in Lima Norte; on Friday the 13th at the Ayacucho Carnaval Fest, at the Casa Real; on Saturday, February 14 at the Club Potao de Chaclacayo; and on Sunday the 15th at the Kokobombo store in Tarapoto, they recorded practically sold out seats.

David Calzado, founder and leader of the group, pointed out that this overwhelming response from the Peruvian public is the result of many years of constant work and a strong connection with his followers. “The songs of La Charanga Habanera have accompanied several generations and, despite the passage of time, the orchestra remains one of the favorites in Peru and in many parts of the world,” he stated.
In relation to 35 Años Charangueando, Calzado highlighted that the album brings together the group’s greatest hits and has outstanding collaborations from renowned salsa figures, such as Gilberto Santa Rosa, Mayito Rivera, Alexander Abreu, Víctor Muñoz and Mandy Cantero, among others. “It is a very special album, remastered with the participation of great artists. That it is heard all over the planet is exciting; today it is number one on most radio stations around the globe,” he said.
It should be noted that the national tour of La Charanga Habanera begins this Saturday, February 7 at the Explanada de la Costa Verde and will continue on Sunday the 8th at the Huaralino in Lima Norte. Subsequently, the group will perform on February 13 in Ayacucho; on Saturday the 14th in Chaclacayo; on Sunday the 15th in Tarapoto; on the 20th in Chiclayo; on the 21st in Chimbote; on the 22nd in Iquitos; the 25th in Chilca; on the 27th in Lima; and on the 28th in Mollendo.
