Boardmasters 2026 is about to announce their first wave of artists and we’re speculating just who will be the headliners
Boardmasters recently teased their lineup for 2026 via Instagram, which boasted a rebrand for the Cornish Festival. The tease got us very excited for next year’s festival as well as got us thinking.. who will be the headliners for Boardmasters 2026?
Olivia Dean

Olivia Dean is arguably a dead cert at this point. Not only does her sound match the overall vibe and ethos of Boardmasters, they’ve used her music multiple times on their socials in the buildup to the lineup announcement. Not to mention, Olivia is on the cusp of absolutely exploding with recent release ‘Man I Need’ going viral. We’ve had Raye in 2025 now give us Olivia Dean in 2026.. it’s about time she got mainstage recognition!

Amyl & The Sniffers
A band that needs no introduction and one that would bring a much needed punch to the Cornish festival. Arguably the one of the world’s most in demand rock acts and a true savior of the genre (No, it’s not Yungblud). The band are on a hot streak at the moment off the back of their fiery LP ‘Cartoon Darkness’. So much so, they’re currently on tour with AC/DC across Australia. This is one we HOPE to see at Boardmasters next year.. make it HAPPEN!
Calvin Harris

Arguably one of THE most requested artists for Boardmasters 2026. Go check the comments of any post and it is full of people screaming out for Calvin Harris. The artist first rose to fame with his debut LP ‘I Created Disco’ and since then his music has developed throughout genres and generations. It’s a headliner that would appease all that attend Boardmasters and seems like a no brainer really.. but will we see him at Boardmasters 2026? We will have to wait and find out.
Blossoms

Blossoms at this point could be considered indie royalty and a band that makes TOTAL sense for Boardmasters. They span multiple generations of music lovers, their music again, matches the festival and vibe. I mean, imagine hearing the groovy sounds of ‘Big Star’ from the mainstage whilst the sun sets behind the Cornish Coastline.. personally I can’t see a better match.
The 1975

Maybe a slightly controversial headline due to frontman Matty Healy’s, whom we are all aware of at this point. However, The 1975 have long remained one of the largest and most successful indie bands in the last decade. They also almost headlined back in 2020, the canceled Covid year (boo!). It feels like this needs to happen at this point. Perhaps we will see them at Boardmasters 2026.
Arctic Monkeys

One of the greatest bands to exist, a true once in a generation talent, Arctic Monkeys. Again, a band that needs no real introduction and one that spans multiple generations across many critically acclaimed albums (yes, even ‘The Car’). There are rumors of the band releasing new music in 2026 as well so who knows? It’s a big booking but the festival has shot big before, with acts such as Florence & The Machine and Kings Of Leon.
The Last Dinner Party

The band have grown a LOT since they last played Boardmasters, back in 2024, where they played the BBC Introducing stage. Now, they’re heading on a HUGE stadium tour across the UK with two critically acclaimed LP’s under their belts. There is no doubt they will continue to grow and dominate the airwaves for the next decade. They’re mainstage ready and I couldn’t think of a better place for them to play than Boardmasters, a festival that has often championed the next big thing.
