Chechito confessed that when he left The Cumbia Accomplices to form his own orchestra, his whole family resented him. “Emotionally it hurt me. They practically thought that if I was no longer in the group, no one would see the group. When I wanted to return to see my family, they turned their backs on me. At that moment I had to be very strong,” he said.
