Kayfexthe producer who has won the Latin Grammy for the first time brings together two representatives of Iquitos music, Lita Pezo and the Wemblers in his new production “Mejor sin ti”, a contemporary and Latin Amazonian cumbia with sounds that contrast the city, nature and culture of the Peruvian jungle. “I always wanted to pay tribute to my city by singing cumbia, and this is the first time that they will be able to appreciate me in this genre. It is a gift for my fans where I show them where I am from with the love and pride that I have for Iquitos,” says the singer and performer. Lita Pezo.
“I didn’t want to think only about modernizing the sound, I wanted to increase the sound possibilities. This proposal brings cadence to the psychedelic sound with the percussion and electric guitar of the Sánchez Casanova family. “Mejor sin ti” is part of my second album “Líneas” that revalues traditional Peruvian music. That’s why I was focused on getting to know the culture of the Peruvian jungle with Jair Sánchez and the Wembler’s family who have been great at sharing the stories behind each emblematic song of Peruvian cumbia,” he explains.
