An earthquake of magnitude 6 .7 was recorded on Tuesday off the coast of Philippines, reported the United States Geological Survey.
The earthquake occurred at a depth of 70 kilometers, about 100 kilometers southeast of Sarangani province, the USGS added.

The tremor did not trigger a tsunami warning, the United States Tsunami Warning System said.
Earthquakes are daily in the Philippines, which is located in the Pacific Ring of Fire, an area of strong seismic and volcanic activity.
