Festival season has nearly wrapped up but before it does let End Of The Road tickle your naughty musical ear flaps

In a blink of an eye it appears we have made our way to the end of festival season. The days are already drawing in and there is a slight chill starting to creep into the air. Do not threaten though, for we have one last summer festival adventure with End Of The Roadtaking place this weekend at Larmer Tree Gardens, Dorset. As always, there is a lot on offer at this smaller but impactful festival with an array of artists that can tickle any true music fan. Although our personal list of must see is extensive there are five we are EXTREMELY looking forward to seeing.

Ty Segall (Acoustic Show Solo)

Ty Segall is an artist that needs no introduction. He’s one of the most prolific musicians in the last 20 years, pumping out albums at an alarming rate, via his personal name or other projects such as Fuzz. There is no doubt that Ty Segall us one of the greatest rock musicians to have graced the modern world, taking influence from those who came before and blending into his own ball of riff driven weirdo rock.

However, his set at End Of The Road is going to be a bit more of a relaxed affair as he lays down the electric guitar and swaps it out for the trusty acoustic. You can expect the same inventiveness, weirdo sensibilities, and more all just toned down a little. In fact, it will be interesting to see the acoustic takes on some of his rockier tracks from him, not to mention hearing some his softer material from albums such as ‘Sleeper’.

The Lemon Twigs

The brotherly rock n roll duo that is The Lemon Twigs are sure to tickle the ear drums of the End Of The Road attendees. This will be the perfect soundtrack to a sundrenched English garden providing a glimpse into the past with their tangerine dream sound. The band are coming in hot off their most recent release ‘A Dream Is All We Know’ and their show at EOTR starts their mammoth UK/EU tour.

Curtis Harding

Curtis Harding represents something that the world is fast forgetting, a working class musician that wants to bring the funk and groove (as well as soul) to the masses. He has a voice, style, and meaning that is draped in that velvety coolness of the 60’s soul movement. There’s no doubt that Curtis will be bringing a groove infused set to End Of The Road so he’ll be sure to catch the Michigan singer at a rare UK appearance.

Slift

Do you like big riffs? Do you want to have your socks rocked so hard they turn to dust? Then look no further than Sliftone of the world’s most exciting, hard-hitting psychedelic rock acts around today. The band exploded into the airwaves with their 2020 album ‘Ummon’a barrage of hammering percussion and slow, pulsing riffs. A few live sessions, including KEXP, as well as a formidable tour solidified the band as one of the most exciting and powerful artists around.. now you get to witness this in the flesh at End Of The Road.

Hot Wax

Hot Wax are fast building a strong reputation as a formidable new rock act and having caught them opening for Frank Carterwe can confirm the hype is real. The band carries a weight that far outshines their collective ages, it’s a sound that is oozing in confidence and carries true power. This is rock n roll in it’s purest form and we do not doubt they’ll bring the thunder for End Of The Road.
